March, 2020: Our academic director Carmina Rodríguez presented at the “Patterns of Behavior and Interaction Modeling” workshop of the International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction (HRI), a peer-reviewed publication titled “Generating Empathetic Answers on a Social Robot: An integrative multimodal frame using Sima robot”, in conjunction with co-authors Felipe Araya, Virginia Dias, Alejandro Pantoja and Hugo Araya. HRI 2020 is scheduled to be held in Cambridge, UK.
May, 2019: Our academic director Carmina Rodríguez presented the following academic paper during the pre-conference of the interest group “Human-Machine Communication” of the International Association of Communication (ICA), “It’s like an animated monkey that teaches my children”: Expectations, perceptions and parental mediation practices of parents with a Sima robot at home.” The conference was held in Washington, D.C.
