My new friend the social robot: Understanding gratifications and beneficial interaction conditions’ is the title of the Fondecyt Initiation project awarded by the researcher Carmina Rodríguez, PhD in Communications and Master in Research (M.Sc.) in Communication, University of Amsterdam ’
“The award of the Initiation Fondecyt to Carmina makes us proud because it is a great recognition of her great work – rigorous and of a high methodological level – and reflects her passion and systematic work for emerging issues in the discipline. At the same time, it crystallizes the understanding and approach to communication research that we have as a school: interdisciplinary, with a vision of the future, social impact and that contributes from scientific evidence ”, says Magdalena Browne, Dean of the School of Communications and Journalism.
The academic and researcher at the UAI School of Journalism has carried out various empirical investigations with a focus on children and young people, as well as having published in international magazines such as Computers in Human Behavior, the Journal of Computer Mediated Communication and the Journal of Human-Machine Communication.
